The Westfield Fire Department proudly serves the East Aldine Community. Established in 1942, the department has evolved into a combination department comprising paid and volunteer members. We pride ourselves on being a blue-collar fire department that directly reflects our hard-working citizens in the district. Most of our members, paid and volunteer, graduated from Aldine ISD and have returned home to serve their communities. Over 12 square miles and 50k residents are watched over by the members of The Westfield Fire Department, and everyone represents the Pride Of The Northside.
The Department operates under a service contract with Harris County ESD #25. We are contracted to provide fire suppression and rescue services. There are more than 310 ESDs in Texas, 32 of which are in Harris County. The governing statute for an ESD is Chapter 775 of the Texas Health and Safety Code. An ESD collects taxes based on appraisals of real and personal property
The Aldine community dates back to the 1800s when railroad companies established engine-switching stations there for northbound routes. The stations served as a convenient delivery point for dairy, cattle, and poultry producers.
